The purpose of this text is to inform the audience about Saif’s Khan successful career path that made him “undoubtedly Bollywood’s most unplanned success story in its super league of stars.” Which led him to be the ‘prince of tides’. In addition, it could be explained that the mood is calm as throughout the text it narrates the steps took from Saif throughout his life and career. The metaphor used in the tides also expresses the mood as “The prince of tides” in order to show the growing success of the actor just like that of a tide, furthermore, it shows the attraction that is given by the people that allowed his success to be raised.

The structure of the prince of tides is very similar to that of any other gossip magazine, with its very intriguing and captivating title That gives a glimpse to the readers about his rise to success, as well as a big portrait of the Bollywood actor himself, Saif Ali Khan. Furthermore, the structure is categorized into paragraphs that show a timeline structure starting off with who he is then his personal life and building up to his career life and the roles he played and his rise to success.
